2013 is all about…Words&Pictures

At the beginning of this year, I posted the status below on Facebook:

Decided this year will be the year I look back on as when my future consultancy career started! Let’s get my Social Media and Internal Comms consultancy on!

I decided about a year ago that eventually I want to do IC and Social Media consultancy. The ability to work with a number of different companies, be seen as a thought leader and hopefully get the chance to present my opinions at conferences is ‘the dream’.

To help realise that dream I know that I need a broad level of experience both in-house and agency. So far in my career I’ve only worked in-house, I’ve managed agencies and built relationships with them…but I’ve not got the experience of working for one.

Well, from the 1st April, all that changes, I’m massively excited to let you know that I’ll be moving to Words&Pictures, a Communication agency based in Otley in Leeds, as their Digital Insight Leader (loving the job title!!!!). The opportunity to both gain more experience and take a step on in my career was too good to turn down.

I’m looking forward to meeting the rest of the team, I know a few of them already, and getting stuck in with some really exciting projects. Keep an eye on the blog for updates on how I’m finding it and the type of things I’m working on.
